What to do in Berlin

Some ideas from a recent email, sent by my girlfriends, to our friends who are visiting from London.

Breakfast places:
Cafe Morena, great breakfast, really cheap in Kreuzberg near Görlitzer Park
Antipodes, nice lithe breakfast place great cafe a bit Aussi inspired
Cafe Anna Blume, very Prenzlauer Berg, lots of Families, nice breakfast and cosi to sit and watch the Prenzlauer Berg activities

Chilling at the water:
Landwehrkanal in Kreuzberg, near admiralbrücke it is really nice, Il casolare  a nice italian restaurant just there
James Simon Park, near Museumsinsel, nice for a beer and some people watching at the Spree
Freischwimmer, cosy boat restaurant at one of the canals in Kreuzberg

Going for a run:
Well classic is Musumsinsel, along the Spree to the Parliament
Of course Tiergarten
Then the Landwehrkanal
Run from Treptower Park further east
Tempelhofer Park, Huge former Airport, a bit bizarre worth a visit though

Rooftops:
I personally only know the weekend and then there was another one Thinley mentioned which i heard about, but cant remember the name

Markets.
I like Markthalle Neun in Kreuzberg, its on Thursday evenings can’t maybe compete with the London markets, but it is still cool I think
BIte club, should be good at the water haven’t been but wanted to go :-)
Flee market well, the Mauerpark on sundays a little bit too packed but the music on the grass area and the colorful crowd is fun
Flee Market Boxhagener Platz Sundays
Fleemarket/Foodmarket  here in Kollwitzstrasse on saturdays

Museums:
well the David Bowie one is a must we still didn’t make it but its worth it!
Bauhaus
The Jewish Museum

Restaurants / Bars / hangouts
Now it becomes too much to write but I try to write my favorites:
It Dui Forni, Pizzeria I showed you
Pfefferbräu Beergarden, also just where we live nice atmosphere with Tango on Thursdays
Kimchi Princess, cool Korean BBQ place, but maybe not so good for vegetarian ;-)
Longmarch Canteen, really nice interesting place in Kreuzberg, we liked it!
Bar: Tier, in Neukölln, Amazing Cocktails, specifically whiskey and the like
Bar to ring the door: buck and Breck, very dark few place, very special atmosphere, amazing drinks, good music
Kulturbrauerei, usually has some concerts events and the like
Auguststrasse, very nice street in Mitte with lots of small places

Shopping:
If you feel like strolling a bit I would go to Kastanien alle, starting at the Top at Eberswalder,
Or go down Alte Schönhauser, starting Rosaluxemburger

Wankelmut @ MELT! Festival 2013

For the summer vibes and berlin moods, Sommer is fast da! by the way my first almost german facebook update #milestone #Berlin. Have been in Berlin for a year already. #milestone #Berlin Thank you MELT! Festival and all the happy and relaxed people who were there! I had a great time and I hope you too ;)

I was playing from 7 to 9 on sunday morning - that’s why this set is more laid back than my club recordings … some chilled and groovy sounds in the sun :)
